Somewhat influenced by AeuK's tunes, I think :) I took a break from my
usual 22KHz Axe-Standard Brutal Zoom WILDFZ/LEAD setting here and went for
a more crusty crunchy sound kinda like AeuK's covers of Asphyx and
Malevolent Creation - for once I changed my distortion type to "FUZZ". I
even used the AeuK-standard 16KHz with a lovely bit of digital
clipping/distortion for this one :) The original version of this was so
over-distorted that I had to double the drum tracks (I normally have to
turn the drums DOWN). Anyway, it was impossible to hear what I was playing
and the tune was lost...it seemed like the only variation was in the
drums. So I loaded the samples again and just amplified them 120% over
normal. I also made use of a phase effect for the first time in my life
(the intro). I guess this is also Incantation-influnced as well. A bit.
OK, a lot.

I'm particularly pleased with the drums in this. I think that all snares,
bass drums and ride cymbals have a blastbeat tempo at which they sound
best, and 240 seems to be perfect for these. I also switched the NNA to
"continue" now that I have a computer that can handle the extra virtual
channels. Unfortunately, although the drums are great, The guitar
(playing) sucks a bit. It isn't very tight at all. I guess that's because
I didn't use GoatStudio this time - I just played to a midi click. I
downtuned to A# as well this time instead of my usual B or D for a noisier
sound.

And the vocals were dropped to 16 KHz just tomatch the guitars. In 22KHz,
they kinda out-treble the guitars :)

Gotta admit, this is another one of my more brutal motherfuckin'
tunes...probably because it was written at 240bpm, where recently I have
been hanging around 180-200 bpm too much. Expect more >220bpm stuff
soon...and I love this style coz it's so fucking HEAVY, so I guess there
might be a disk in the pipeline at some point...stay tuned. Maybe even an
AeuK-tribute (the guy's been around long enough and I have enough material
to choose from, lol). I might even do a cover of some fo my stuff in this
style just to hear the difference. Lo-Fi "Born In A Cell", anyone?

And to those who don't like AeuK's tunes or this one: FUCK YOU. It's an
acquired taste for brutality, and before you start shouting that I'm a
shit tracker and should quit, check out some of my other more "technical"
tunes (e.g. The Dawn Of The Apocalypse and Ground Zero). Rant over. And
Claymore: I know it's not Hi-Fi, so don't bitch.
