Yes, more Egyptian kettle drum shit :) This is the third track of the Out
Of The Duat Disk, and is also the first test of this new "hangover" sample
set.

Sorry about the lack of warning at the start :)

Well, this is back to a similar style as "Drowning In A Nun's Excrement" I
suppose...goddamn Cannibal Corpse-alike shit. Anyway, I wasn't going to
originally include this in the disk, but it has been sitting vacantly on
my HD for fuckin' ages just crying out for some vocals, and I wanted to
include a "normal" (i.e. non-C0rp$e) sampleset tune on the disk, so that
there are all three types of tracking on the disk - the usual whole riffs
approach, the Zack-style "use only parts of the whole riffs to create new
ones" style, the C0rp$e-style thing, and of course the old-skool sampleset
approach :). 

This song was originally going to be on the ill-fated GoreDisk project
(which died a disgustingly painful death when I bought the Nile album),
but I just turned it into an Egyptian thing and thought "Yeah, this is
going into the OOTD disk!"...so here it is :) Sorry about the short length
of this, but I ran out of inspiration and got tracker's block :\ Damn
vocals suck as well; shitty patch I used on my FX pedal...

BTW: Check out the echo effect I used on the kettle drums by using the
volume envelope to remove the attack from the drum.

LYRICS:

Once again, this deals with Apophis, the ancient Egyptian God Of Chaos;
this time it's about a huge war waged against Anhur (Ra's god of War),
where the folowers of Apophis have opened the gates of the Duat to allow
the demons and undead armies of Apophis to pass through and onto the
battlefield where they can annihilate Anhur's armies of serpents and
followers. In the end, with the war at a near stalemate, the followers of
Apophis threaten to invoke Apophis himself onto the field to do battle
with Anhur...which would be an apocalyptic battle to say the least. Of
course, while the folowers are slaughtering Anhur's people on the
battlefield, the less able followers are out raping and dismembering and
eating Anhur's followers' children :) These are probably the most violent
lyrics on this disk :) Oh yeah, and there's a real long chorus too :)
