Desecration/Nile-influenced DM here. I went to see Desecration a week ago,
and bought their "Inhuman" album. I liked it so much that I had to do
something similar :) Anyway, this is part of the "Out Of The Duat" disk,
so there's the egyptian theme as well, although I tried not to let it take
over the song like with the others. This one's pretty much out and out
death fuckin' metal with no extra frills. Straight into the brutality :)
Only the lyrics are egyptian-influenced this time. Although the music is
kinda Nile-influenced (again :P)...and I think that intro stuff sounds
kinda like some dead souls feasting on some newly dead person's flesh >:)

ALL the vocals in this have at least seven parts in; i.e. there are 7
vocalists at all times. This was achieved with Cadaver's great GoatStudio
as usual. Anyway, don't complain about it being unrealistic - just think
of it as a death metal choir :) You can still hear the bits that had to be
left as they were due to the fact that I can't spend all the time
vocalling this song coz' I have three others to do, and I want to get this
damned (in more ways than one) disk finished THIS year :) BTW: Sorry about
the noise in those ending vocals; I fucked them up badly and amplified
them waaaayy to much :\

I think that maybe this is one of my best songs to date (March
2001)...although it's quite simple...only 5 instruments and 13
channels...maybe that's old skool (under 16 channels)...hehe at least it's
not a blasphemous 4KHz 4 channel festival of vomit :D

Explanation:

Osiris was the god of the underworld (which is kinda like heaven and hell
mixed) - but unlike Satan/the Devil, he wasn't evil. He was one of Ra's
cohorts. So this song is kinda devoted to blaspheming him and proclaiming
allegiance to Apophis - the only *really* evil Egyptian god. Osiris was
kinda like a judge; he decides who gets let into the underworld and who
has just has their soul eaten by Ammit...

I use the word "kinda" too much...is it even a word? Nope :) Goddamned
Egyptians never used, that's for certain :D
