Time for a bit of a change, methinks. I haven't done anything REALLY
heavy-as-fuck for a long time, so here it is. Influenced a lot by Arch
Enemy's album "Wages Of Sin" (I even stole part of a riff from one of the
songs on it). It's kinda melodic death I think, but a lot thrashier and
heavier than shit like In Flames. No, I'm not turning soft; I have some
brutal as fuck death metal in the pipeline still :) And anyway, there's
still one (very short) blastbeat in here. Most of the drumming here is
fairly straightforward, because I was thinking abou how Daniel Erlandsson
would play it, and he doesn't go that mad on them; this song just needs
slow, straight beats most of the time. Athough I'm very happy with the
ride cymbals in the "clean" part. I love some of the riffs in this song;
pattern 7 rules IMO.

Sorry about the filesize of this one, but it just REQUIRED three solos to
keep things moving along without getting boring. Guess I should really
learn to use MO3 soon...goddamn, I'm just too lazy...

And as for the guitar sound...possibly my heaviest yet? I was trying to
imitate Arch Enemy somewhat with the sound, but that sound is actually
coming from a 10 watt Park practice amp :O (albeit the distortion comes
from my Marshall Valvestate). I discovered that the secret to heaviness is
to place the mic further away and turn the bass and volume on the amp
up some more...
