The title sounds kinda French, doesn't it? Hah. Take a longer look at the
lyrics and you'll figure out the real `twist' to the subject matter in
this song.
A new, but the same guitar sound here. Same method as all the recent
stuff, but EQ'd better. Based roughly on Death's guitar sound on the
`Symbolic' album. The music here is some sort technical death (albeit much
less so than e.g. The Descent). My approach was slightly different here.
Usually, I start out with a rough idea of what sort of song I want to make
- usually inspired by some band or other - for example I may think `yeah,
I wanna do a blasphemous grind tune'. This time I didn't, I just started
recording riffs and thinking about what would fit in well as the next
one, and just let the song progress naturally on it's own. So I suppose
this is a more `true' representationof my musical tastes - it's almost
like there's a little bit of everything in here - parts influenced by my
favourite bands...and indeed, my own bands. Some of that non-blastbeat
drumming could have been written by Tim `jazz-death' Wilson for Endless
Torment...there's bits of Testament, Dew Scented, Incantation,
Decapitated, Desecration, Death, Nile, Cryptopsy, Bolt Thrower...even a
little bit of Emperor...the list goes on...
