It is finished...
My one true masterpiece...
The main melody was actually 'inspired' by the ochestral bit at the
beginning if Mansun's 'Attack of the Grey Lantern' (The track's called
'The Chad Who Loved Me' - bizzarely enough). Also, it's tiny bit
similar to one of the James Bond movie themes, too - but don't ask me
which one! I'm not into bond-age (Geddit?! Haw!) ahem.
Okay - so there's a definate 'watery' quality to it, too. Which was
actually something I was aiming to do. I've downloaded so many modules
which have been very samey over the past while, whether it's hardcore
Ravey bullcrap, or drum and bass tracks. I just sat down in front of
my PC with the full intention of making something a lil' bit different.
And now you're listening to it.
One thing I have to do is apologise (After praising, that is!)
to anyone that's dowloaded this tune - the whale samples (in lovely
16bit 44htz quality!) refused point blank to re-size properly without
losing the quality, so I had to leave 'em full size. Bummer, innit?
They were actually taken from a CD called 'Symphonic Star Trek', y'know
the fourth movie with the 'Whaler' ship - that always seems to freak me
out. It looks like one of those crappy synthesizer CD's, but it turned
out to be pwetty kewl.
The other samples were taken from various sources - mainly other
peoples tunes - so thanks fly out to any of you people who sampled 'em!

Ingredients for this tune are as follows..............................
First and foremost, Mansun for 'that' tune. They're diamond geezahs.
Watching Star Wars for the millionth time - and it never ceases to
amaze me!
Trent Reznor - the coolest musician/industrial/pioneer (Aaand Nine Inch
Nails frontman) on the planet - where's the new album though, Trent?
Large quantities of Jack Daniels, Pringles, and chocolate. 'Natch.
The Manic Street Preachers for being the best band ever. You guys
rule!
Me Mates. You know who ye are!
Silicon Group, Dalry Road, Edinburgh. They sold this PC to me.
Uuuh. And YOU, for downloading and listening to this tune. Not to
mention reading all this!
