March of the Dark White Socks

The rather odd-sounding title comes from a chatroom
conversation with a cyber-friend a few years back,
where, with my persisting to continue the conversation
despite the fact she'd mentionned that she had to do
some laundry, she simply exclaimed that the socks
were marchimg towards the washer on their own;  the
mental picture of those socks has persisted in my
mind to this day...

The actual musical piece started its life a few years
back as a transition within an epic tentatively titled
"Fight for Freedom" done in coop with Evolution which
never got finished...  I decided to recycle this part
by lenghtening and elaborating it.  I unfortunately
had to replace Evolution's wonderful drum line with
my own for obvious copyright reasons... :-(  This is
one of those "ya like it or ya don't" kind of pieces,
which invariably follows the same basic theme throughout
its whole length, barring the introduction, with the
guitar leads taking care of the variety part of the
piece.


For best results, use ModPlug Player -- turn the
surround feature off, and do the same to your
sound card settings, using the equalizer setting
of your choice (I prefer the "pop" setting).
