| Saga Musix presents: Soaring (4:04) |
|____________________________________________________________________|
After bacter and I finished our coop track for the tracked music compo at
Revision 2025 early (which you should check out as well!), I decided to
give the streaming music compo a try. After trying a few different things,
I decided ot start off with a trancy sketch I made in 2021. Later on I
added another old melody I wrote in 2009. I guess technically speaking
this makes Soaring my longest module in the working ever. xD
As so often when making trance, I had some major struggles during the first
few days, because I tend to prioritize structure over mixing and sound, and
trance is all about the sound. So my trance tracks usually tend to sound
terrible for a majority of the time I'm working on them. After a few days,
things were slowly getting into shape and I was sure I was onto
something good. The track started sounding better and better and I
started to really like it. In the end, it ranked 3rd in the streaming
music compo, which came as a bit of a surprise to me, but I guess the
people liked it too!
