                              'starry night'

     This piece was originally concieved of during the summer of
     1999 as another possible "lead in" for an orchestral piece
     I was working on at the time. However, I was unable to make
     an adequate transition from the musical qualities of the
     "music box" opening to that of an orchestral instrumentation.

     In a furious three days of composing and revision, SN was
     completed a few days before Christmas and is the title track
     of a gift compact disc album for my family and friends.

     Sample credits:
     -piano: a piece I judged in one of the Hornet MC's was
             "midnight lullaby" which had this fantastic sample.
             I gave high marks to this piece and I would love to
             hear from its composer.
     -strings: from the original Gravis Ultrasound MIDI patch set,
               but more commonly known as the "Skaven strings." =)
     -bass: I believe it's from an unfinished (at the time) piece
            from Future Assassin.
     -ocean: from Basehead's "Shades of Night 4: The Sea at Dawn."
