it penetrates through the void into the very depths
of your soul, and the only word it carries in its
message is "believe".
belief, hope, the joy you feel when you believe & hope
everything will be okay; it is an amazing
sensation. it is amazing that within your heart,
there is this one voice fighting against
everything and knocking down the biggest challenges
to ring through with a re-invirogation of your
spirit.
believe in destiny, believe in fate, and the belief that
everything's gonna turn out just fine. to all those
people that know this feeling, to all those who have
a Qi which will never cease to light the darkness
with the burning desire of destiny, to all those who
have brought themselves up when they've been down and
who've fought against the most innumerable odds and
learnt from all their past mistakes..
this song is for you. believe in you.

This song actually started off as an entry to Cruelisation number
nine, but due to me only downloading the sample pack about an hour before
the entries were due in, I didn't even get started before the deadline
passed; silly me! I decided to get the one riff I had for that CR09 song
and see how it sounded in the CR10 samplepack, and the samples seemed to
suit, so..

Pattern 00 was the start of the song, and from that the chords for
the starting organ came, as did the idea for the very synthy sounding
first riff. After that, I had to do some searching for some external
samples since the drums in the cruelisation 10 samples didn't suit
the song at all.
I eventually ran across the classic 'flanged snare' drumloop by
Romeo Knight which I'd used in one of my earlier songs, and after locating
that and a massively compressed snare from Pulse, the piano riff in
pattern 12 was written. The arpegiated riff and the distortion guitar
melody which follows was inspired by Yannis. Alot of people I sent the
song to as a preview didn't like the guitar riff much at all, but I
couldn't find anything more suitable to replace it. Big thanks to MickRip
for trying to help out here, but sorry man I just didn't think your riff
suited :(.
From there, the ending melody cut in (if you can call it a melody,
haha) and that was it. Finito, my first released mod under 58megs in the
last couple of years. I hope you like it.
I also have a nasty feeling some samples are out of tune (hey
don't blame me, I'm a nasty Asian who eats with chopsticks).. but I'm not
sure exactly how, so I can't fix them up. Nyer :P.

The flanged guitar sample was simply the original long guitar
which has been flanged in Sound Forge.
