After a rather short and quickly made track in the streamed music compo at
Revision 2015, I guess I'm fully back into the trance music business!
Again with tons of selfmade Synth1 patches. Did you know that I have
released a Synth1 bank containing 128 new awesome presets for this great
synth? No? Well, head to my website and grab them, they're free:
http://sagamusix.de/de/samples/

Anyway... this track came to life after listening to an unreleased 46-minute
coop tune bacter sent me, and I really liked one of the melodies in the
tune - in the end it turned out that melody was even bacter's melody, so
this is yet another kind of coop between us, I guess? :D So when I toyed
around with the melody, I thought that it would sound really nice if it
was used as an acid line, hence I grabbed Synth1 and one of my 303 patches
for it, copied the melody over and started experimenting. Initially this
was supposed to be hard trance... well, I guess I missed that goal. But
the result is still a bangin' trance track, and I like it! I hope you like
it too!
The beautiful fifth chords were kind of an accident, too. I wanted to jam
along the acid line with some big pad on the Roland D-50, but I forgot
that I had a fifth pad loaded - so I decided to use some fifth chords!
After I reached the 4 minute mark, I decided to add a proper (somewhat
DJ-compatible) intro and a longer outro. For the compo version at Outline,
I removed those again. In the compo version, the tune stopped at pattern
34 (jumping to pattern 39). I really like how the tune picks up all its
energy again after pattern 34, something that's completely missing in the
compo version.
