Comment

I made this in reaction to seeing people still asking
for split tracks to cover in YTPMVs for Memories by
Tommy Jansson. So here you go. It's a cover for the
YTPMV people as well as myself haha.

Ripping AHX files isn't really that hard. I ripped the
module using HivelyTracker and HVL2WAV. First, I removed
the patterns for three channels and saved one only, then
re-did it again three times. Some AHX songs will have
tempo and tick speed that will need to remain to keep
the song on speed, so you'll have to manually delete
the notes on said channels that have the effects
without removing the effects themselves.

After that, I put one sample in a channel, HVL2WAVed it,
repeated for the other 4, then poorly trimmed the samples
and put them in OpenMPT. I copied almost everything with
the exclusion of the CB0 effect as it was redundant in
OpenMPT and replaced pattern 4 with a Fine Volume slide
effect, removing the C08 effect in the process, and
removed it in pattern 8.

And you have an almost perfect cover of Memories. Well,
almost. OpenMPT doesn't recognise the c symbol in
samples, so damnit. The file size is bloated, for a
module, being 230+ kilobytes more than I expected for
the original being a just 2 kilobytes, and the volumes
and pitch might also be off too, but I tried my best to
get everything to sound right. So I hope this is good
enough.
