Hidden Forest
...and so the mage disappeared into the woods, and he ventured much
deeper into the darkness than any human being had ever dared.
He knew that he would never again go back into the town, for the town had
outcast him. Relying on his trained senses and his staff and protected by
his leathery cloak, he entered a realm outside time itself, hidden well
from the eyes of men, where only fairies and nature's beasts could join
him.
So he thought. He wasn't aware though that the witchhunter had been
following him for many days. Driven by his unmatched stubbornness this man
had succeeded in uncovering the carefully hidden trail of the mage.
With a grim feeling of triumph in his blind heart, he made his black
horse run faster and clenched his fist around his mace.
This time the mage would not get away...
The battle lasted endless minutes. The two adversaries stood against each
other, though none was likely to win the fight. Their strengths were
equal and yet different.
Eventually, the mage lost control over the spells he had spoken. He and
the witchhunter were transported through time back into reality and they
both fell unconcious.
By dawn, the hunter awoke and realized that the magician was gone.
And this time, he had made sure he wouldn't leave any trail.
There's not much I can say about this one. I don't know if it is a good
thing to release this file, since it sounds much the same as "Senses".
17/3/99:I just noticed that the drumtrack resembles the one of "A Knight's
Tale" too much. That's the dilemma of wanting to create something new
which turns out to be just "another track".
A few things have gone to pieces the last days, in many ways.
Part One: OrdNum 001-034 Hidden Forest
Part Two: OrdNum 035-069 Witchhunter theme
Part Three: OrdNum 070-079 Hidden Forest (dc)
IMHO you don't need to see it as a song divided into parts. I always look
at it as if it were ONE theme, since for a long time I could not decide
whether to write a little fantasy mini-story as context or not.

For all my friends
Greetings to: Warder, Awesome, Jogeir Liljedahl, Purple Motion,
Lizardking, Zaba, Pulse, Skaven, and everybody else out there.
Seems that you need either much RAM or a fast machine to listen to this
tune without those unnerving playback speed delays... :-(
This song can be downloaded from the TuneStore. Its current URL is
http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Stadium/1822
but I am considering a server change... Anyhow, I will still keep the URL
for some time, so don't worry about your bookmarks.
