Information:
This tune is the result of major difficulties. First off,
I had this catchy melody in my head for months before I
started to track it. Then when I did, it sat on my HDD
for weeks before I decided to have a go at it. I had
actually started learning the guitar, and so edited the
melody with volume and offsets to get it more realistic.
About 2 weeks later I decided to work on it once more,
and added the guitar chords, using note delays to
replicate the way the hand brushes over the strings.
Then I managed to get some personal problems effect my
life, and amidst my depressed and confused state I added
the wind, rain and thunder to the tune and it somehow
added so much more atmosphere to it. Following this I
sent the tune to Lemm who fine-tuned the samples for me
and told me to 'change the repetative percussion'. So I
got Ballistique in to do that. Then we drank a whole
unopened bottle of Kirsch (45%) between us and ended up
'sozzled' (thanks Lemm!), After doing about 100 different
endings to the tune, I decided the best one was to fade
the music out in the same way it begins.
This has been a BASTARD of a tune to track. I hope you
like the end result! :)
Until next time....
