Dedicated to Deanine

AN OLD FACE IN A NEW CROWD:
I have known her for eight years, yet I haven't seen her in two.
She was never before close to me, nor I to her. And after high school, I
lost touch with all those who weren't close. After all these years, the
fire still burns.
In the early years of our acquaintence, we had interest in each
other. However, I remember neither of us did anything about it. But
seeing her again makes me look to the past. Could it be possible? Does
that interest still linger? Or is it a curiosity, a quest to hold on to
the past and the comforts it provides.
Deanine is her name. We always teased her, calling her the thorn
in our sides. Yet she knew that we wanted her around, especially myself.
Now, I see that our relationship was meant to be. Eight years later, and
we are finally a happy couple.
OK, BACK TO REALITY:
Sorry about my little aside there. I didn't mean to get off
track. Let's get to the point. This song was written and inspired by
Deanine, who likes music as much as myself. As far as my tracking
abilities, I am quite happy with this song. It's short, but there is a
lot of quality there. I just came off this really long standstill in my
creative process. I have not written anything for a long while. Though I
have attempted. In the last few weeks, I must have thrown out at least 15
songs. So that I finally made one that I am happy with makes me happy.
Cheers,
