  67. Lots of echo&stereo
  68. work. The possibility
  69. of vinyl/cd printing
  70. got me thinking. The
  71. main difference
  72. between cd music and
  73. modules is the fx part
  74. And it's no wonder,
  75. because it's alot of
  76. work to do echo/stereo
  77. and other fx in a
  78. tracker. I tell you,
  79. it would be nice to
  80. have an echo editor
  81. for each instrument.
  82. The overal quality
  83. among modules would
  84. get much better, and I
  85. am almost positive it
  86. wouldn't be too much
  87. work to add echo edit
  88. in Impulse tracker.
  89. With the possibility
  90. of letting notes cont.
  91. when a new note is
  92. reached is excactly
  93. what is needed. What
  94. must be done is to
  95. tell the tracker to
  96. play several notes per
  97. each entered in the
  98. track - with decreasin
  99. volume and different
  100. panning. All editable
  101. for the user. (How
  102. many echos, volume
  103. and panning types.)
  105. Just think of it. We'r
  106. closing to cd quality.
  107. A big problem is the
  108. lazy soundcards we
  109. use though. But if you
  110. are thinking of
  111. printing to cd, there
  112. isn't any problem
  113. really. Just write the
  114. module as wav using
  115. cubic player or Impuls
  116. tracker, and write the
  117. sound digitally to cd
  118. with cd-r. If you're
  119. using samples digitaly
  120. ripped from your cdrom
  121. then the sound never
  122. goes through your
  123. soundboard. (Only when
  124. you are composing it.)
