-=[A word about this Song.... (And a Jungle Techno Overview)]=-
This song was made based solely on the style called "Jungle" It is
an awkward style, as some might take it, but you get used to it after you
listen to it for a while. Apparently, many people have been starting to
get into this new "Jungle" Fever, and are tuning less out of rave and
techno'ish things. (Depending on your point of perspective.) Jungle is
considered techno, except with a much lighter atmosphere in tune. (But
Then Again, That All Depends on how you compose your song) Jungle was
pretty much a hit for easy listening stuff when youre doing things, etc;
Although, I really don't prefer listening to it by itself. In other words,
Jungle = Drums. And Jungle has been a popular hit in many other countries
such as Finland, England, Canada, and not to also mention the US. I do
have to mention though that US, really dosen't concentrate much on
jungle-techno at all, mostly those rave stuff you find like dance trax '9X
stuff at the stores like K-mart. I like that stuff, but not a whole lot.
I Pretty much only like the free-style musics they sell for breakdancing
stuff at Tower Records and stuff. Well anyway about Jungle: Seems like
it's getting more and more popular, I swear...
Just recently, I played the game Street Fighter 3: 2nd Impact... and I
heard the music, and I was really surprised to find that the whole game's
music were jungle tracks. Pretty neat. Some of those advertisements in
between sports have been using jungle musics also. I remember seeing a
Shoe Commercial with Jungle Playing.. But you wouldn't care would you?
Alright, anyhow: I discovered Jungle music at least 3 years ago, and I
didn't really care for it, because the song stunk. It didn't even sound
like jungle either. Anyway, that was the first time I heard it, and I had
a very bad impression on the style. About a Year and a half later, I heard
it again... This time it was the group called "Icons." Their music wasn't
all that bad when I heard it, and I was rather surprised at how good it
sounded. And well, I like the style now. What can I say? I've made quite a
few Mp3's of their better songs, and well. They're Great.
Well This Module was based on the style, but it's a little bit on the
lighter side, so if you think this has really fast drums, you haven't seen
anything yet. If youre looking for some good groups, try "Goldie," "Roni
Size," "Aphex Twin" - (I personally don't like them.), "Icons," or some
other good groups. Just look some artists up on the top 10 Jungle Hits.
-=[Mod Overview]=-
Having fun reading this? I hoped so. You see, this song isn't half-bad
when youre busy doing something and listening at the same time. For some
Reason, This song has a strange resemblence to Icons' Styles, but it's
better that way? Isn't it? Take this MOD, as a test of what you can do
with so many similar sounding samples, and so many types of drums, and see
what you can come up with...
Well, I'll give you an overview of the Mod. First, It was HELL Making this
mod, You don't know HOW Much Time Was Spent On It.. We've used the basic
style from the group Icons, and have taken some of the harder beats from
the other harder jungle groups. Surprisingly, I realized that Jungle is a
LOT harder to make than you think, if you want to keep it original. You
may think it's all drum and tune, but it's a lot more than that. This mod
has left out some aspects of jungle that we did not really care for, but
instead we made a more "Soothing" Version of a jungle mod. You notice that
the drums don't keep an ongoing beat? Well jungle is like that. In Jungle
Style, you don't keep a straight boring old beat go on and on and on...
you let it change, and the drums in the song are bascially the heart of
part of the tune. But do keep in mind that, you won't find all jungle
songs sounding like this, depending on your taste. Some are much harder
sounding, some are much quieter. Understand? Good.
We tried to keep this song as long as we could cram our ideas into
it, because we didn't want to bore you with the same old tune over and
over. So we gave you a "TASTE" and "FEEL" of the tunes, each tune lasting
about over a minute and a half. We tried to give this song as much variety
as possible to give you the jungly feel, and not give you some boring old
6 minute jungle song that you find on some Jungle CD's. We tried to keep
things intact, hope you enjoy.
-=[Message from the Authors]=-
If you think that Jungle is all we like, youre mistaken. Jungle does get
boring after you've listened to it for a long period of time. But it isn't
all that bad when you hear it while you do things for a certain period of
time. I recommend listening to it more than once.
[Dan:] I realize that this song has the same system as my last release
for the C3. The Variation System. I think that's the part of my song that
won me second place. I tried to imiatate jungle with that song, but
instead of using hard drums, I took those out and used bongo's and soft
drum pads instead. I also used a lot more lighter/brighter string chords
to carry the tune on. This one has a changing darker to lighter feel as
the song progresses. Hope you enjoy it. A shout out to #SSTrax! See ya.
[Mark:] Another short message here. Thanks a lot to Dan for letting me
co-op with him on this song. I'm not good enough to take on a track as
great as this myself, so... I think this song went 70% (Dan) 30%
(Mark.) I tried my hardest, and I hope you all out there like what came
out! Hell, i'm glad I got my style in. Greets to Dan, Kosu, + #SSTrax!
Jungle is an awesome type of techno, but it takes some gettin' used to: So
listen to it, respect it, live it, enjoy it. Seeya!

more about j-music than us, we can probably release great stuff. But

Trance/Ambient Stuff also.]
