Painted in my words
I outline their lives
Each one of them unique
A star behind my eyes
The passage to my mind
Locked for eternity
I will give you the key
To the kingdom I see
For if it's never found
Then the world dies with me
We are the leaders of our lives
Together we shall never die
At the end of the passage to my mind
There is a kingdom with an empty throne for years
Somewhere in time there is a place where we can be
Away from pain and fear
And in the end it will appear
The only sacrifice you'll make
A moment of your life
To leave your world behind
And finally you'll find
My kingdom

Part Two: Rise Above

Fear is all I see
You were made to be controlled
Can't see the signs
But they're there for us all
Society of blame
We will go to any length
Where empathy is weakness
And cruelty is strength
And we wish for the world we cannot have
Wherever our minds are led
And we search for a way to leave this place
Where trust and truth are dead
You can never change
You were made to hate and fear
Can't see the light
Through your blindfolded eyes
No good deed goes unpunished
By your hatred and your greed
Your selfish way of thinking
Will never be erased
Responsibility is something
That you never had to learn
A world that taught you were a king
Proud of your ignorance
And feeding on the other people's fear
I see there's no place for me here
Rise above your cheating world
Defeat your misery
I will lead you by the hand
And show another way
Pity and sympathy are feelings

There is a world that I can see
A place where I can never be
It's always near to me but never within reach
It is a world we'll never meet
Born to be perfect, without hate
Your outer form and inner beauty are the same
Rejected by the world
Accepted just in fantasy
A place where no one ever dies
And trapped by who I am
I must remain here on the ground
While my mind soars through the sky
Such a pleasant torture
I am shown it in my dreams
There is a place where I can never be
All the world before me
Seeing through another's eyes
And once again it fades away

With no desire to be cruel
Disease and harm left far behind
To be a part of it, this heaven floods my mind
Rejected by the world
Accepted just in fantasy

All that matters is my kingdom
And the world I made in my mind
Was I born to be the one I am
Am I a misplaced mind
For all the time I want to leave
My waking world behind
I wake in sunlight from a dream
And suddenly alone
What has happened to my kingdom
Take me back to where I belong

Time is running short for me
Even though I have so many years to live
I will die before I show
Everything I have to give
I create - while you destroy
And you hate - The life I have
Is it so different to want to let it go
I have a better world than you will ever know
I cannot live in two hearts at a time
This world is stealing my life
I have to choose - my life or the dream
As time goes by
I am trying to live two lives
In between the real and the imagination
I can see I'm out of time
It will never wait for me
I create - but I can never be
More than a ghost to them
To spend my whole life craving somewhere else
It is the greatest waste of all
I cannot live in two hearts at a time
This world is stealing my life
I have to choose - my life or the dream
As time goes by
I have only seen one half of this world
The slices of time that bring perfection to my mind
Will you show me how to live forever, coming back again
Before with the first light of day, I'll fade away
We all move between our different worlds
Perfection and reality
You can always wish to be somewhere else
But the most important time of your life is

There is good in this world if you know where to look
The wonders that you take for granted every day
So don't waste all your life waiting for this escape
Forever waiting for a world that can't be real
Was I born to be the one I am
Am I a misplaced mind...
We are bound to lead the lives we have
No matter where they are
I will use my time and be thankful now
That I am alive at all
I am no master, I'm no god
I have no power to give life
But power to create
I am the maker, I am here
And I can see my world now
I have to turn away
But in the end it will appear
The world I have seen in my dreams
The power of the mind
Desire of the heart
A place I'll never find
My kingdom
