 |  Saga Musix presents: Wistful Yearning (4:07)                      |

Wistful Yearning is my entry for the  streamed  music  compo  at  the  Under
Construction 2016 demoparty. It's  probably  one  of  my  slowest  and  most
laid-back tracks to date. It came  to  life  when  experimenting  with  some
pads on the Dance expansion for my XV-5080 and  adding  some  simple  square
wave lead to them. Structurally,  I  wanted  the  tune  to  be  a  bit  more
complex, but in the end I didn't quite  find  the  inspiration  to  make  it
more interesting, so I decided to  just  release  it  rather  than  possibly
working on it forever. It was also first intended to  be  a  lot  more  calm
and ambient-ish, but then I thought  that  this  RnB  beat  (also  from  the
Dance expansion) fit way too well... 

As you can see in the sample  list,   there  are  a  lot  of  (multisampled)
instruments from my Roland XV-0580, just like in my other release  from  the
same party (Walking the Stratosphere) - I really  like  this  synth  a  lot.
The ambient pad comes from the Dance expansion as  already  mentioned,   and
the Asian flute comes from the recently acquired Asia expansian board.
I already wonder which expansion board I am going to get next... :D
