     According to the Greek
      myth 'Pandora's Box,'
     Pandora and her husband
     Epimetheus were given a
    box.  This box was quite
   beautiful; but the travel-
    ler that left the box had
    said that it should never
      be opened.  Pandora's
     curiosity would win, of
  course, and once Epimetheus
  was away for a brief moment,
       she opened the box.

    As she lifted the lid to
    peek inside, out flew the
    spirits of evil, despair,
     sickness, disease, and
    all other unpleasurable
    obstacles for mankind to
  face.  Pandora was horrified
  as the spirits swarmed around
   her and Epimetheus, harming
     everything they touched.

     Pandora had released all
    of the evils of knowledge
    into the world.  Yet, one
   thing remained in the box -
    Hope.  When Pandora looked
   back to the box, Hope healed
     her heart, and gave her
    (and all of mankind) hope
      for the future. . . .
