Well, what can I say? I came across some weird FM percussion-ish samples
and I had to make something with them. You know what's weird? Things that
are "futuristic" now don't really seem to hold a candle to "futuristic" as
it came from the 80's to me. That decade had some future. And I guess since
this had some FM synthesis samples, and the 80's was the decade of Yamaha
having a patent on FM synthesis and making a boatload of money putting
their chips in everything, this sort of partakes of a "80's style future".
But I was also thinking of John Carpenter when I made it, like, you could
picture a bunch of gun-toting dudes making their way through a ruined
cityscape like in Escape From New York with this, I think.
KFMS is a fictional pirate radio station that plays music with lots of FM
synthesis
