"It would probably be accurate to say that by becoming continuous
war has ceased to exist. ... The effect would be much the same if the
three superstates, instead of fighting one another, should agree to live
in perpetual peace, each inviolate within its own boundaries. For in that
case each would still be a self contained universe, freed forever from the
sobering influence of external danger. A peace that was truly permanent
would be the same as permanent war. This - although the vast majority of
Party members understand it only in a shallower sense - is the inner
meaning of the Party slogan: WAR IS PEACE."
--George Orwell, 1984

This took about four hours over three days to complete. Normally I
would not be so quick to finish this, but I just had a surge of either
inspiration or boredom. :)
This also constitutes the first part of a trilogy of songs based
on the novel 1984. "War is Peace" is the first part of the Oceania
government's slogan:
"War is Peace.
Freedom is Slavery.
Ignorance is Strength."
Thanks to Troll, Acell, Necros, Maelcum, Basehead, and Zephyr for
samples. Also thanks to Kuroi Neko (who got me started), and Pulse (for
writing such a great program). Greets to everyone in tracking.
