Welcome to the full version of "Starlit Night". A slightly shortened version
of this track won the music compo at Buenzli 20 / Demodays 2011. Hooray for
for namevoting...?
Originally, this track was meant to be my contribution for the streamed
music compo at Evoke 2011, but it didn't pass pre-selection. The compo was
actually very well varied in terms of genres, so two trance tracks were
probably too much for the compo, hehe...
After "Cloud Number 5", this is my second big track exploring the boundaries
and capabilities of the Yamaha AN1x. And I really mean "big" - The module
file alone is about 28 megabytes in size, which is the biggest module I have
released to date. In this module, I also makes use of the "Equinox Grand
Pianos" sound font, so that's another whoppin' 90 megabytes! Whooops...
But at least it sounds good [IMHO]. Many multisampled patches and sequences
played on my Yamaha AN1x using some really nice patches from JayB's trance
bank make this a nearly perfect dream trance tune in my eyes.
Maybe your opinion is different...? ;)
Special hugz go out to m0d for all the pre-listening and some great fun late
at night some days before Evoke 2011 to whip this track into shape. Without
you, this track wouldn't be what it is today! <3
