Vikings Of Valhalla @ 2019 by Helge Kvalheim aka HKvalhe ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vikings Of Valhalla is a 6-channel pure Amiga Viking influenced track and the FIFTH for my Samplicity collection of 13 great Amiga mods, all composed by me - Helge Kvalheim of Bergen City of Norway, using my AmigaOne 500 aka SAM460ex and OctaMED SoundStudio v1.03c, along with 16-bit stereo samples from Walkabout Music Samples collection. This Amiga track is unique and interesting. It gives an impression of an upcoming Viking battle or rather the approach of the vikings to their homestead. which is Valhalla. Took me a couple of days to sit down and work through this special Amiga track. As you should know, Viking music is not easy to make, and actually there was next to no proper information of what is typical of Viking music from the Viking era. But what is known is that Viking music mostly steams from a mixture of a march and Nordic folk music. The motion of a Viking song can be everything from aggressive to a happy folk dance, or a sad song. Typical instruments used for a Viking song is deep and heavy drums, similar to a march rhythm, and different flute organs, as I understand. This might not be the most interesting thing you've heard, but it gives a realistic listening of what a typical Viking track really is. I hope you'll might enjoy it. I myself find it interesting. Thank you all for your support. The track is a 6-channel one and should easily be played on any accelerated Amiga with some Fast Ram. The more powerful and modern your Amiga is, the better the quality it will be. I suppose that speaks for itself. A native Classic Amiga can do a lot of wonder only by using the 14-bit mode of the Paula chip, which I recommend, unless you have an AHI-compatible sound card. Enjoy!
