cykiq - drop the bass

this track originally started out as some sort of joke actually.
after a night going out a friend of mine advised me to use "that funny
sounding bassline instrument" in one of my tracks. i thought: what the
hell... and it seemed to work out! yay! the silly melody came from a noisy
chip tune i wrote together with another friend of mine. all blended
together very well and a happy man was born (man i no do make sense).
this track usued to be called "welcome to paradise" but i found some rap
vocals in my sample dir so i decided to use them and change the title.
but i'll keep "welcome to paradise" in mind for my new track. this time i
even might use some vocals! i found someone who is willing to sing for me,
she wants a duet with me but i know you don't want that! if you have
accidentally heard my song "toonite" or "de wind" (the chance is very
small though), you know why... my voice sucks! but who knows... maybe
we'll do a duet called "welcome to paradise" some day soon. all i need is
lyrics and a melody, and some spare time to (let someone else) sing it.
okay, enough crap, back to the usual stuff.

drop the bass - the new track by cykiq, finally online (damn ftp upload
shitty thingy kept hanging all week). influenced by sitton and the
klubbheads. almost 6 minutes (and a bit repetitive but that's on purpose
so a short edit is easily possible). sounds pretty danceable i guess. I
wouldn't exactly call it "tiesto meets dj jean" (right, link? ;) ... I
think sunclub meets klubbheads is more appropriate.

okay now for some greetings. at first i'd like to greet the complete tom
crew, especially psc, link-d, mummra and nekativ. i'd also like to thank
wouter for the idea. more greetings fly out to my personal friends:
dennis, stefan, angela, ferdi, natas, rene, brian, and all i forgot. also
my schoolmates: kenneth, ramon, wijnand, yat-hol, and i'm sure there are
plenty more but i don't feel like typing over 50 names now. finally i'd
like to shout-out to my family, relatives and all of my friends i forgot.
last but not least i'd like to greet & thank you for listening to this
song and read this boring stupid message all the way.
