well, this is the first time i've actually managed to make impulse tracker
actually appear to fuck up.. especially just from a 4-channel track!
i think it was from the really slow tempos going to a medium tempo after a
pattern delay and maybe having a large amount of orders and patterns made
it think too much (?).. although that's highly unlikely as it's probably
one of the most stable trackers available.. anyway.. it was a massive feat
i thought impossible (fucking up IT, not tracking in it.. der) ;)..

"Curious About Astronomy" by Davey Flop-It, 01/Oct/2003.
in celebration of 8 years of tracking this or last month.. September 1995
i think i started.. and also 7 years since i established UnCo! Whatever
Productions.. and also a year since Emotions Gemini has been out.. time
fucking flies! :P

All the riffs/progressions were conjured up 08-09 September 2003 in the
exception for 'decending into phobos' which was written 16 November 1999
and will also be released in Warped IV whenever the hell it gets released
:)..

I think i'm stuck on oldskool sounds.. could you tell? ;P.. i think i
originally would've liked this to be a MOD or MTM but as you can see
there's far too many patterns and orders for even MultiTracker to accept,
which, if you didn't know, the limit is 128 orders.. then i got using some
specific IT commands in some places and well, fuck it, you get the idea,
it's still in 4 channels anyway and sounds quite full in most places for a
chipdisk.. and i think i made nice use of alternate time signatures for
once and used common time signatures a little bit unusually which is nice
also, of course, since i always like to fuck with other ppl's heads and
also my own :).

In case you're wondering, the original idea came about when staring up at
Mars recently, mostly late at night and somewhat on the way to or back
from a state of semi-paddling :). I thought i'd better take advantage of
the sight as i'm lucky enough to see it and it's going to be another
50,000 years or so until another generation gets to see it with their
naked eye. Anyho, all the samples are mine but you're welcome to rip them
cuz they're fairly unidentifiable from a common high quality instrument
sample, just don't rip my tunes or i'll have to wedge my toe in your
rectum permanently! :P..

Scotch Tarts (the Celtic duo i recently formed with a Scottish violinist
who's visiting Australia for a year) was in the City Weekly Courier
newspaper in Sydney this past week and it wasn't a bad write-up and photo
either. Sarah is playing the Sydney Opera House (i'm assuming with the
group she'll be touring with for the next month) on the 1st of November,
so come along if you like. We've got 1 or 2 gigs lined up together after
that, but as for busking, don't expect to see us regularly for the next
month as she's on tour and i'm pretty lazy so i may or may not come in
the city, but i've got an irish bouzouki now so that oughtta pull your
eyes and ears :).

Fission's Opus is looking at soon issuing a 7" picture disc single, maybe
or maybe not on cd as well. We do know it will most definately be a top
notch crusty-arse home made 4-track recording :P. We haven't played many
gigs recently and haven't as yet got any decent ones lined up either, but
i'll keep you posted.

As for your most FAVOURITE FUN-LOVING TREE-FUCKING group, i'm still
working on Warped IV and i've got half the demos for the "organic" songs
done and pretty much all the electronic stuff done.. just got to finish
them all, record the "organic" tracks when i can get my mates to play
drums and farts (yes, farts), etc.. and DON'T FORGET that Emotions Gemini
is still available for a LIMITED TIME only! and it's on funky arse
thick-as-fuck and blue-as-my-balls (except i don't think my testies are
transparent blue?) 12" vinyl.. so get one while you can. There'll only be
1 pressing for Australia and maybe one or two other pressings in other
countries.

greetz.
