The Next Future
---------------
I made this song originally for SunDew Ordinary Compo but as the compo
was cancelled, it was left lingering around meaningless. Then suddenly,
for some strange reason I picked it up and decided to make a new version
of it. Those two are like night and day, sound-wise at least. I'm very
pleased how I managed to make this one sound even cheesier than the
first... :] However, I've also thought here a good arrangement is
wasted in the overall mediocrity of the piece - but then again, what
would you expect from a former prospective Ordinary Compo entry? The
latest turn in the track's life was an unexpected summoning to represent
me in the second Outpost Compo, after all the big ones had to step aside
to be saved for the big arenas.

p.s. Oh, check out the lyrics at the bottom. They're really... special? :]

OLD COMMENTS
------------
Do you think this sounds like something else I (or someone else) has done
some time? If you do, you're not too far off. This is one of my entries
for SunDew Ordinary Compo. In this compo the goal is to make as
conventional and stereotypical music as possible. I guess that's something
I'm pretty good at... ;-}~ I also tried to use as ordinary samples as
possible.
From my experiences I can recommend trying something like this to anyone.
It's really refreshing not to have to do it perfectly for a change and to
notice how difficult it indeed is to make a song with mere cliches.

A1:
One day you said you'd be mine
But the next day saw you pass me by
How come I don't know why?
All you said was just a lie
Now that you're gone
I'm on my own
B1:
Why do I feel so strange
I just can't say
Why did you go away
You left me all alone and crying in vain
I know
You felt the way I'll always do
But it's in the past now
Until the next future
A2:
How could I be such a fool?
I wish I could drown into a pool
This song tells how you did me wrong
I don't know how I lost your love
Now I'm so sad
Won't you tell me was I so bad?
B1
B2:
Everything is so wrong
Without your love I'll ever be
Living in the past
Until the next future
