Without a Touch

Using the same sample set as Ryan & I used for "Mirrored Ball." It works out
quite nicely, ne? Still can't say a hell of a lot for the originality of
samples. That one flute sample needed some modification becasue the vibrato was
annoying in this piece. Differential calculus and Markov chains by hand!!!
Fun, Fun, Silly-Willy... *bop* Quiet, Pinky...
I don't think you really need to worry about max polyphony with this one like
"Mirrored Ball" did. But it DOES use 32 real channels, so expect some
craziness. It gets a little busy after a while. This is one of those rare
cases where I wrote something that just washes over you in a sort of
"experience." Well, I don't normally advocate that you always do that with
music, but that's a musicologist's perspective. Let it be known that I DO NOT
have any talent. What I have is knowledge, not talent. Knowledge is power,
people. This is my power.
It's rare that I'm not sounding things out, but this is one song that I was
able to just pop things in without even thinking too hard. It's actually a
VERY simple song. It's just that it has a lot of layers. I've done a couple
of songs like that, and I've often found that those were my faves among the
songs I'd done. So I did a similar thing in this case.
