This song was made on my laptop while laying down on my bed. I would have
chosen a more comfortable "studio space" but the living room was taken by
my mother, who was watching TV, and there's no way I'm going to make this
song in the basement, because while there's a nice 88 key semi-weighted M-
Audio keyboard for inputting notes, it's just a creepy mess in general. And
who needs a MIDI keyboard for OpenMPT anyways? I never do, anyways. My
fingers are fast enough to transpose notes almost as fast as if I could
enter them directly, so I'm perfectly fine in the note entering department.
On the bed I was laying on as I made this there are two boxes of anime
DVDs. Yes, I sleep with anime. I have a nice Magic Knight Rayearth boxset I
can open one eye when I'm sleeping and peer at, making out Fuu's form in
the day light on the boxset jutting over the top of one of the boxes (I
sleep during the day quite often but having read the previous sentences,
this should come as no surprise.)
I use the dreaded "The only sample here" square wave sample, because it's a
pretty good square wave sample. It's only one of 9 samples though, so the
statement that it's the only sample here is a bald faced lie. That sample
is simply a modification of a Gameboy square sample that came from woolys
chiptune archive. Anyways, it provides some minimal melody and blipping
to the song.
