Cold Understands

  I didn't want to write this music, it just came. I was browsing
through the Elfwood archive, looking for some fun reading. I found an
emotional poem 'Demon' by Zoe 'Xay' Foster, and it clicked. Three hours
later I had this, well, music done from scratch, wondering what had gotten
into me. That makes this second time I've had what I believe is
inspration.

Never trust a girl in black,
As on the curb she stands.
For looking innocent she has a knack,
Yet high are her demands.
Her eyes seem to be filled with tears,
Her heart seems full of pain.
She shudders softly of her fears,
As she stands on the edge of the lane.
And as the snow comes tumbling down,
And the air's so cold it stings,
She looks upon it with a frown,
Arms spread like eagle wings.
She crouches in the corner
Of an alley, in the back.
A fire burns before her;

And thrusts her hand in the shafts
