How much cheese can you put into 3:32min? This is the definite answer.
To be absolutely clear, I dislike this tune. The first few patterns
started out as a nice idea, but then it went downhill from there. I was
already surprised by the high ranking of my entry from previous year's
Evoke, so just for the sake of it I made this one extra cheesy to see
where it would end up in the compo. Quite a few people told me how much
they like the track (what's wrong with you? :-P), but luckily it just
ended up in the midfield. If it ranked higher, I would have had to
reconsider a thing or two...
The large sequenced samples were directly recorded from my Yamaha AN1x and
Yamaha CS6R. In this short time span, this was simply the quickest method to
get the sequences into the modules. The original note patterns are preserved
in channels 1 and 14.
