. Saga Musix presents: Timelord (5:14) .

.....................................................................
Who can judge about time? Only the Timelord can.
Yes, I'm a guitar raper. This damn guitar lead is not supposed to sound
real or anything! :-P Also, I can't stand to tweak every simgle mixing
parameter to achieve a "perfect" sound and now I got the feeling that I
just have to release this tune. I'm tired of the "mastering" (I do know
that I totally suck at this balancing stuff).
But yeah, maybe it was so difficult to master because there are so many
styles in it: First, some Hip-Hop thing, then synth stuff and then the
guitars. I like most of the composition, but it's really hard to master
if you're not a pro, i guess. :-P
I guess I gotta thank BYTE-Smasher for his random sample pack generator
as I tested it for him and got some really nice samples from my sample
collection which I tested in pattern 0. After that, I left the module
alone for quite some while, until I had the great idea with the synth
bleeps and the guitar. I realized that it would sound nice together
with the samples I threw together almost a month earlier. Also, a lot
of inspiration comes from these great people (in order of creation of
the mentioned parts):
- nighthawk (soft bassline)
- radix (square bleeps)
- ceekayed (hard bassline)
- bacter (chords)
- xaser (sorry, but I needed almost three weeks to figure out that the
guitar part was mostly inspired by your track "voxelbuffer"...)
- midget (title :-)
Well, I submitted this track to the Open Streaming Music Compo at the
Sundown demoparty, but it didn't end up too good (8th of 12), despite
m0d's support. :-P Maybe it was the terrible mixing which was *really*
bad at that time (tried to make it loud for the party in a really short
time). I'm still not content with it, but I can't do much about it. And
I have to thank Midget once again for being nice. :-)
Also big thanks to my friend Jiko who played those awesome powerchords
for me on his equipment. This tune would sound even worse without your
support. I'll upload the whole powerchord set soon to my website
which is being redesigned at the moment. I hope you all will like the
new design... :-)
