a ___ __ ___ __ ___| __ ___ __ __ ___ | /(_/_(__)\ '(__)\__|(__l| /(___(_/_\ ' sonic impact presented to the public on 25-Sep-97 called " o m n i c o n s c i o u s " What you are having on your screen right now is the annotation to my second publicly released OSS song. As I wrote in the readme for "Froggy Style", this one is a really huge goa/psytrance tune, over 900kB length and over 11 minutes playing time. Actually, those who have heard this module before release all told me "and that were really over 11 mins?" - and I must admit I feel just the same. The song grew and grew and I stopped the moment I thought "now its ok". Of course I got a bit carried away enjoying the enourmous sound of OSS. The style is like a mixture of Man With No Name and Shakta stuff to me. Two really adorable goa/psytrance musicians! Instruments are both selfsampled and ripped (the killer bassdrum and the nice sweeps are from Azazel/TBL as far as I can remember). For maximum impact, I suggest you play this tune *loud* with pretty much bass and treble, and take your place right between your set of speakers. Or use headphones - the stereo fx and panning really kicks ass (IMO of course, hehe). Use the freely distributale OSS-Player submitted in the archive, select a mixing frequency of 20khz or above and 14bit output. On my A1200/030/28mhz, I use 28khz without problems. Due to the nature of mixing 10 channels you have to turn the volume way up compared to standard 4 channel modules. g r e e t i n g s to all in 1oo% (of course), Cockroach, Count Dan, Cowo, GDM/Looker House, Grimlock/e^D, Juice/pH^D, LhA 1.50r, LSD, Moon/Abyss, Mr. E, Pride/TRSI, Radiosity, rAZfAZ/BP, Sander "Ochrana" Annema, SMC/Abyss, Teis/pH^D, Zych/TRSI, the particiants of the chaishop-mailinglist... ...and to all the unmentioned others that fill the vacuum around me. c o n t a c t In case you want to contact me, please write to: [please no modules/samples swapping, chatting preferred :)] neurodancer@another.gun.de Neurodancer 99:4908/1.0@coconet or call my BBS "Aurora Borealis", its open 24h for everyone, my modules can be downloaded immediately after signing on: +49-8621-64260 v.34+/x.75 [2 nodes] In addition, some of my modules can be found on Fate's homepage: (thanks a lot for setting up that subsection, mate!) http://fate.home.ml.org/Music/Neuro/Index.html The Metronome archive has a separate directory with some of my mods: ftp.lhg.hib.no, pub/mods/composers/Neurodancer Soon to find on Aminet in [mods/neuro] (hopefully!) _____ __.__ __ _____ _____ __ _____ _____ _\__ \ / | \\// _ \ / _ \\// _ \ _\__ \ __ / / \ \ \ /_ / \ \ /_ / \ .-\/----- / \ \ / \ \ / \ \ --------. | /_______ \ ____\ _\ \ _____\ _\ \ _____\ | | \_____\ \_____\nd! | | | | | | aurora borealis - 1oo% world headquarters - phd dist site south | | amiga ^ ascii/ansi ^ modules ^ cnet ^ manga ^ coconet | | more than 500 ascii collections online, plus magazines plus ansi packs! | | check out our famous modules area w/ special goatrance section! | | freedown on 1oo%, neurodancer & phase distortion stuff | | coconet host for bavaria - free polling slots for nodes & points! | | | | call now! docking bays are open 24h! | | +49-8621-64260 v.34+/x.75 [2 nodes] | | cnet bbs & gvp040/33mhz & 10mb ram & 2.3gig hd : | | : | | _____ __ _____ _____ __ _____ _____ __ _____ ___ ____ | | _\_ \\// _ \ / _ \\// _ \ _\__ \\/| |__\__| / _/__ | `-- / _ /_ / \ \ /_ \__/_ / \ | | | \___ \ --' / / \ \ / \ \ \ |_ | / \ /____ \ _____\ _\ \ _____\ _____\ ____/____| __ \ /________\ \_____\ /________\ Just say no to Drum'n Bass!
