Comment
Some info, and some thoughts occured while making this song ...
# Remix
First it happened with "Affection", then it happened with "Guinea Pig",
and now it happened with "Analogic TaleBearer". Yep, all those songs are
redone or mixed all over again. In Analogic's message are I wrote that
a remix is quite possible in the future, but what I didn't know was that
it was going to be so soon. I also wrote that Analogic is not even close
in being perfect, but I quess it has more to do with my with my bizarre
mind, cause I am atleast as unhappy with this remix as I was
with Analogic.
Funny, Analogic sounded too clean and steril, and Digital seems to
have more softer and "breathtable" sound, or is it only my imagination?
Could be that when I lowered notes in some part of the song, it also
took away the "horny highnote" attitude.
If I would someday decide to make a CD full of my music, I would
propably make a third remix to the TaleBearer "series" ;)
There were 4 channel drums in this remix too, sampled and edited all
over again to give an analog touch to the song, but one of the last
minute changes was to take the drums away. Why?
I never liked the drums, maybe I have come too familiar with drumcomps,
but I disliked the drums I created, even as they were much better
than in Analogic.
# Mainstream
Where does Mainstream come from? If you think hard, you may come to the
same conclusion as I did, that Mainstream is actually the same music
that had fresh and newaged sound 5-10 years ago. Mainstream music is
like a constant remix of old hits, in other words - recycling. So should
we like it or hate it? The question is more that "Who likes old hits
warmed up again?"
