                      My stupid days
                by iliks/Ilya Palopezhentsev

Oh, welcome! Six months have passed since my previous tune,
"Farewell, my dear friends". I didn't write virtually nothing
and in the beginning of January, 2002 I really was suspicious
about whether I have lost ability to compose or not.
Though after some events at 19th of January I gained this feeling
again, the feeling that I have to write something, simply have to,
or I will be in big depression otherwise.
Then I wrote one cool song which hasn't been recorded yet.
Ok, and 29th of January I started to compose this little thingy.
Firstly it was like a stupid game, I just entered basic rythm and
added random piano chords, which somehow turned to melody. Ok, I
was satisfied with the beginning and decided to finish it. So,
after three days of work it has been finished and I hope you like it.
Yeah, I hope you have noticed that it is very, very bright. Like
my mood was when I composed it.
Indeed, I've really changed for this half a year, I've become
slightly brighter, open and funny.

Compositions which I listened a lot while writting this tune:

1) George Harrison, "My Sweet Lord".
Hm, really cool song, recently it took first place at British
charts again. First time it did it in 1970.
Yeah, pity that George has left us so soon, he really was a
cool musician.

2) George Harrison, again, with a song "I Live For You".
Very inspiring song, and that nice ukulele (Hawain guitar) solos
sound really good. Indeed, my composition is like it, bright and simple.

3) Paul McCartney, "My Love Does It Good".
Hm, if to take in account that I know this song since 1993-94,
it's really a classic for me.

No hard music was listened at all during composition. Therefore
it is so bright.

Ah, "Shrek" movie was watched too, bringing me a good mood. Yeah,
and that song from its soundtrack, "Hallelujah", is so cool! Hm,
and its lyrics have some connection with my dreams.

Programs which were used:

1) ModPlug Tracker. I think it's the best choice at the moment
for tracker musicians.

2) T-RackS. Emulator of tube equalizer and compressor. The best
from what I have seen. Used for final mixing.

P.S. You could download much better sounding version from
www.mp3.com/iliks
Be sure to check my other mp3s there too. They are less childish.
I recommend to give a try to "Never be" and "Nobody".
