Bluz For The Sake of Bluz

Yes, I've cranked out yet another bluesy tune for you. You know what they
say, "When in doubt, jam on some blues". I haven't really settled on a
title until I finished this mod. For inspiration, I drew on various
sources, including Elvis's "Heartbreak Hotel", Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Georgia
Peaches", and Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues" to name a few. I also
drew from what I hear on the oldies station, which I have been listening
to a lot recently. The drum beat was inspired by the intro to Aerosmith's
"Rockin' Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu". All the samples are nothing
more than good 'ol GUS Patches. So I don't have the gear to make my own
samples... I guess that means time for an upgrade ;-) The Honky-Tonk Piano
is pretty percussive, so I balanced it out with a fingered Bass and Alto
Sax for warmth. The song practically wrote itself once I added the piano.
Enough of that time for some howdies to Damien, Jay, Beth, Robert, Junior,
Joe, Amon Ra, and whoever downloaded this MOD. I make MODs for you to
download, so I hope you like them.

Future Projects:
I have nothing in particular planned at the moment. At the time that I
tracked this, I am considering doing more bluz and jazz mods. Another
rocker is a possibility, or maybe a remix of one of my previous mods. I
know of a couple that are desperately in need of a remix ;-)
