my multichannel entry for optimise 97 held july 19th here in johannesburg
south africa.
hah...no original samples, and only 5 16 bit baddies ...and still such a
nice melody :) Noone has heard this song yet besides perhaps my family,
with a few comments here and there:
" nice melody "
" where's the coke?"
" turn that shit off its too loud"
" nice melody "
" you're not taking that to the competition are you?"
" wow, you must have been sad when you wrote this..."
Funny what goes into a song eh? We only get to hear all the notes as the
composer puts em down, but behind it all are all those trivial little
comments, bursts of inspiration and well good old fashioned ripping of
samples.
Hope I credited all to whom credit is due, samples taken care of, but
inspiration can be attributed to only one person, its her fault I wrote
this morose lead on top of this rather uplifting guitar riff...
I was sorta pissed off and depressed when I wrote this song, (does it
show? :) and well, if i recall it was done all in one sitting, with a few
hihats and panning added on July 17th ( every song always having
"something" added right before the compo).

hope you bastards coded some demos this time :) Hah, I have the dreadful
job of being master in charge of music compo and in flight entertainment.
