- Hi again! This is my
- first decent release
- since Checksum Error
- Critics are welcome.
- The comment of the
- day :)
- "Expensive hardware,
- 16bit 44khz samples
- make me feel like
- they're only details
- in tracked music.
- I've had lots of 'em
- and always thought
- that they were
- responsible of the
- low sound quality
- of my mods but the
- truth is that it
- wasn't the samples'.
- There are samples
- I used in 97,98,99
- and in every year
- they didn't sound
- the same. I think
- that technic is the
- most important thing
- to have a good
- sound quality when
- it comes to tracking
- I didn't notice it
- at first but volume
- mixing and panning
- can make a song
- a good song or a
- bad song. For
- example try to
- compete in an 1hour
- compo. Sometimes
- the sample pack
- samples are over
- 7 years and seem
- to sound very bad.
- This happened to
- to me in my first 1h
- compo... And I was
- amazed how the
- other trackers used
- to make them sound
- different from the
- awful sound they are
- Why am I saying this
- after all everyone
- knows about this,
- no? I thought I knew
- it already..."
- About compos...
- If you read what was
- written in "Under
- Another Sky" you
- might have noticed
- that I don't like many
- net compos. I thought
- I had seen the most
- unfair (now closed)
- but it seems that
- there is worse! Many
- competitors enter it
- but I think it is one
- of the worst ever.
- The judge(s?) probably
- do(es)n't know what
- he/they're doing...
- The first thing I've
- noticed is that they
- tend to mix up things
- so that the "skill"
- rating seems to be
- a "commercial factor"
- ...
- I don't care much
- about it but it is
- not a good thing for
- the (scene) musicians
- who enter this kind
- of compo.
- ...
- Well it seems that
- I've written lots of
- useless stuff as ever.
- .stop.
- oops, i lied for the
- stop... :)
