This one is quite similar to the version of 'Lost in your eyes' I made
earlier, since I used the same samples again and only replaced some
samples with equals (e.g. a piano replaced with another piano).
This time I've used real drums because last time I listened to 'Lost in
your eyes', I realised that the looped drumsequence wasn't synchronised
too well...
I was actually messing around with Guitar Teacher when I made the chord
sequence for this song. I picked up the arrangement from another song I
was working on (which will probably never be released), that was supposed
to become some kind of christmas greetings for someone still very special
to me. (Hey, *excuse me*! It's beyond control...)
Anyway,... don't know if she'll ever hear this... but this one is for
her...
Nele, it's dedicated to *you*!
And that's meant to be a compliment, in case you didn't notice...
Most samples in this song are ripped, by me or by the people that
composed those sample libraries I've got on CD. (Carat's Collection of
Sound and Collection of Music).
I only remember I ripped the guitar samples from a song called 'Butterfly
flew away'.

'Troubleshooting' :)
If you've got problems with bass-overload (I exaggerated a little bit),
first pull down the bass-level of your soundcard ('where available' :) )
to a normal level (some kind of middle-setting), then try muting channel
7, then 6. (eventually no.8)
If you're using a SoundBlaster AWE 32 or 64 then turn off 3D Stereo
Enhancement. It makes sound surrounded channels twice as loud, totally
out of proportion. This can cause bass-overload too.
In this case turning down Chorus and Reverb levels may help too.
Remember hardware mixed cards are not affected by the global volume
setting; change the mixing volume instead. (Both at the song variables
screen (F12) in Impulse Tracker)
Maybe some other soundcards are also affected by the factors mentioned
above...
If your PC or soundcard can't handle 34 channels (suppose you already
tried to go to plain DOS), first try lowering the mixing speed at the
command line (but try to keep higher than 22050) and, if possible change
32-bit interpolation to 16-bit interpolation. Then disable channel 8.
This is the 'lower than 30Hz bass', and isn't heard on most configura-
tions anyway. Then slightly raise the fadeout value of the guitar strings
and of instument 7 (Strings I). Change the drum's NNAs to NoteCut where
Continue is selected.
As a very final option you can try also disabling channel 6 and 7;
raising the fadeout value of the piano and that of Cleanbass I, but then
I want to know: how did you succeed in running Impulse Tracker on
something less than a 286 ??? :)
