The Devourer Erupts

A great horde of Creeters is approaching the citywall of Tend, capital
city of the Empire. Following a simple misunderstanding on the side of the
Empire, they believe that the Creeters have surrendered and are not
expecting any attacks from them. So far so good for the bad guys. 
But as the Creeter commander orders his forces to attack, a great rumble
is heard, and earthquakes split the land. Looking up at the great mountain
in the middle of the continent, the Devourer, the citizens of Kraneira see
it erupting into flames. Even though it was considered dead, it is fully
active now, and there is nothing to do about it. Flames engulf the
continent...


Well, enough about that. In case you wondered, this story is taken from a
forthcoming game I'm coding. It's title is yet undecided, but it will take
place on the continent called Kraneira, with two sides, split into several
factions, who battle it out to become the continental rulers.
