OpenMPT FM+PCM Example Song Compo
What should I say, I totally didn't expect OpenMPT to have Adlib support
(well, it's bound to happen for those special .s3m modules anyway)
and hosting this compo. However, I happened to know about this very late
and had only 4 days to finish it. Plus I'm in a very inactive state right
now (my last music work was 3 months ago) so I don't think I have enough
time and creativity to start a new music from scratch.
But luckily, that last music work was a short module which I originally
submitted to a one hour battle and I've been wanting do extend it. So I
decided to do that and convert most of the samples into OPL patches.
Designing patches aren't hard since I'm already familiar with FM synths.
But making them sound good together is a completely different thing...
Also, I hope you enjoyed this song as a showcase of OPL3's capabilities.
It's been 4 years now that I used OpenMPT as my main music composing
program and I'm happy to see it being actively developed. So you can
consider this as my thanks to the developers.
